Bacchus & Brodie is a London based wine consultancy, personally curating wines with you in mind.
Wine and Theatre have always been inextricably linked - Just ask the God of both - Bacchus.
An award-winning theatre and film producer turned wine consultant, during her time at the Old Vic Theatre, Libby worked on countless events for high-profile philanthropists, celebrities, supporters and creatives. Her career progressed to the West End, which in turn led to her launching her own theatre and film production company.
Throughout Libby’s career as an events planner turned Theatre Producer, the God of theatre, parties and wine smiled down on her, inspiring her to train with the WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust). She passed each exam and blind tasting with distinction and launched Bacchus & Brodie – an independent, London-based wine consultancy. Informal but informed, at Bacchus & Brodie we personally curate wines with your preferences in mind.
Libby is City A.M.’s dedicated wine columnist, a freelance writer, presenter and creator. Alongside her curation and consultancy work, Libby created and presented “Boozy & The Beast: How To Drink Better”, an irreverent mini-series of tips and tricks to remove the snobbery surrounding wine, founded No.9 Supper Club, hosts private tastings and wine events and launched The Wine Collective UK, working with companies and wine regions on their social media strategy to engage new and more diverse audiences. A passionate communicator or as she sees it, ‘translator’ of the world of wine Libby works across a variety of media platforms.
Wine is incredible – it crosses continents, cultures, history, geography, emotions, occasions and a range of world-wide festivities. It can take winemakers decades and multiple generations to perfect. It’s a drink with a story - thousands of them – but mainly, we believe…
…it is a drink made to be enjoyed.
